Theory Test - You can begin to work towards this at any time; it will relate more to driving if you study and take driving lessons at the same time. Books,CD's,DVD's are widely available, and you can find mock theory tests online.
Practical Test - You must pass the Theory Test before you can apply for the Practical Test ( Theory Certificate is valid for two years). It is false economy to try to take your Practical Test before you and your instructor agree you are ready.
